We Care Solar is an awardee of Action for Women’s Health

We Care Solar is excited to share that we’ve been selected as an awardee of Action for Women’s Health, a global open call funded by Pivotal. Founded by Melinda French Gates in 2015, Pivotal works to advance social progress.

Over 4,000 organizations from 119 countries applied, offering solutions across the
lifespan for women. After a thoughtful review process, 80+ organizations were selected. Each of the awardees takes a unique approach to their work, shaped by local context, community needs, and lived experience, and we are honored to be among them.

This transformative grant is not the finish line–it’s the spark. It gives us the power to accelerate our work. But lasting change requires a steady current.

This grant means we can move faster, reaching more clinics, more midwives, more mothers, and more newborns, at a pace we never thought possible this early in our journey. With this support, we can accelerate our Light Every Birth initiative in countries where the need is urgent, strengthening maternal health systems and ensuring health workers have the power and tools they need to save lives.
