Zimbabwe Light Every Birth
Since 2015, We Care Solar has worked closely with partners in Zimbabwe from the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MOHCC) and NGOs to provide reliable lighting and electricity to support maternal health. To date, a total of 136 Solar Suitcases have been installed in health facilities and this year we aim to officially launch the Light Every Birth campaign in collaboration with the MOHCC and implementing partners. We are currently recruiting for two positions: (1) Registered solar/technical companies or team of individuals to conduct installations; and (2) An individual who will oversee quality control work of certified installers.
(1) Zimbabwe Certified Installer
(2) Zimbabwe Quality Control Supervisor
We are accepting applications from individuals based in Zimbabwe with technical and solar experience to apply to become We Care Solar’s Quality Control Supervisor. The Quality Control Supervisor will evaluate installations using the We Care Solar’s Quality Control Checklist and the Installation Guides, rate installers on key aspects of quality Solar Suitcase installations, and identify strengths and weaknesses for different groups and make recommendations. The selected individual(s) will be invited to attend our technical training in Harare from October 10th-17th 2019. Click here for more information including application details. We Care Solar is seeking a new team member to develop, implement and ensure effective fundraising and communications strategies to support program growth. The ideal candidate is a strong writer, critical thinker, team player and self-starter who can work well in a fast-paced, dynamic and entrepreneurial environment.
